Rhet brings a relationship-focused perspective to Wadsworth Development Group. He joined the firm in 2007 and was trained in Wadsworth’s Preferred Development Group (“WPD”) as an Assistant Project Manager, heavily involved in the site selection, due diligence, and site planning process while building rapport with his clients. As his career evolved, Rhet focused on relationship-based development for companies like Starbucks, Burger King, Mattress Firm, and other well-known brands eventually becoming the Business Developer. From 2012 through 2018, WPD was the preferred developer for Starbucks in the Mountain West and Pacific Northwest and developed 29 properties for them. As Director of Acquisitions & Business Development Rhet focuses on building key relationships to procure new projects for the company, leading the underwriting and investment committee presentation process.
He also heads the negotiations for leasing, purchase contracts, and joint ventures as he has a passion for creating synergy and creating mutually beneficial outcomes for all parties. He has a unique ability to utilize his network to solve problems and create alternative paths to success. Rhet has an eye for opportunity and the ability to generate genuine relationships. Currently he heads business development for WDG and works closely with the Wadsworth Family Office platforms to also generate leads for all the family’s platforms. Rhet is a third-generation Wadsworth with a proven track record in creating value through connections. He holds a BS in Entrepreneurship from the University of Utah. Outside of the office Rhet enjoys golfing, hiking, mountain biking, and considers himself a foodie.
