Roman Groesbeck

General Counsel

Roman has been General Counsel for Wadsworth Development Group and its affiliate entities since 2015, and acts as the principal legal counsel and advisor to the company’s executive management team. In his role, Roman has primary responsibility for ensuring that all legal aspects of the company’s operations, transactions and third-party relationships are adequately structured, protected, and managed. Much of Roman’s time is spent advising on the allocation of risk, negotiating joint ventures and capital facilities, overseeing corporate governance, and providing insight on various due diligence, operational and strategic issues.

Immediately prior to joining Wadsworth Development Group, Roman practiced law in the corporate and real estate departments of Strong & Hanni, PC, a regional full-service law firm headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah.

In 2018, Roman was one of eleven attorneys selected by Utah Business Magazine to receive the publication’s inaugural “Corporate Counsel Award,” which recognized “exceptional in-house counselors who exhibit excellence within their roles, model high ethical standards and have a track record of successful outcomes for their organizations.” Roman has also been routinely recognized by Utah Business Magazine as a “Legal Elite” in the area of in-house counsel.

Roman holds both a Bachelor of Science in Accounting (’05) and Master of Business Administration (’06) from Westminster College’s Gore School of Business, and a Juris Doctor from the West Virginia University College of Law (’09).

Outside of work Roman enjoys tennis, golf, and outdoor activities with his family and friends.
